[WBSC] Coaches and Referrees

Hello Everyone,

 

As we enter this new league there are two requirements looming over our
heads.

NorthCenPenn requires that a certified USSF coach be registered with the
association for every travel team entered in the league.

We have few certified refs.  No Ref = No Team.

There is a course scheduled the beginning of this August (1-2-3) to become a
ref.

And refs on average make $40 a game, depending upon your experience.

If you take the ref course in Williamsport in August (1-2-3) it is good for
3 seasons: Fall '08, spring and fall '09! Usually a certified ref can only
do 2 seasons before he needs to be recertified. The pay for referees is
decent. There is a chart on the NorCenPen website somewhere that lists the
pay scale.  Also, we don't need one from every team but actually if we have
3 teams we need 3 certified refs. 

 

 

Fall Season and Coaching

The fall season sees most of our professional coaches involved in coaching
the local school teams.

Parents are especially needed to step up, take charge, coach and manage the
fall season teams.

Put simply, No Coach = No team.  If we have enough kids to form a team, but
no one able to step up and run that team, those kids will not play.

Coaches are desperately needed for the fall.
