[MARRC-announce] Passing of John G. Capen, 1942-2007

It is my unfortunate duty to forward the news that John Capen has passed
away after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer. We don't have many
details at this point but will forward and post to the website when we have
more information about funeral arrangements.

Execs,

I hate to report that John Capen passed away today.  Roger called and let me
know that John had been in the hospital again and succumbed to his cancer at
about 1:20 this afternoon.

 

There are no details as of yet, other than Elaine is trying to arrange for
his burial at Arlington.  This would not happen this coming weekend, but
possibly in the middle of next week at the earliest.  Roger said he would
contact me right away as he knows more, and I will pass that along as I can.

 

Please keep Elaine in your prayers.  If there is anything I can do to help
please let me know.
