Join MARRC and CCS for the final motorcycle race of the season at Summit Point
Raceway on September 6-8. It's a great chance to have a 3-day weekend at the
track.

The weekend starts with the MARRC Roadracing School and a CCS practice day on
the main Summit Point circuit on Friday. Racers can practice for competition on
Saturday and Sunday, and street riders can experience a full road course.
Racers who have registered for the weekend can get a discount on their practice
time on Friday too. Due to the cancellation of the October CCS round, this is
your last chance to experience motorcycle roadracing action in the DC area
until 2003!

The nationally recognized MARRC Safety Crew will be handling the safety
responsibilities, If you are planning to work with the safety crew, you may
contact our membership secretary at signup@marrc.org. Don't forget that all
MARRC volunteers earn a complimentary admission to the track, and meals all
through the weekend. MARRC also needs volunteers not only as cornerworkers,
but as cooks, writers, and drivers to help the weekend run smoothly.

If you have never cornerworked before, MARRC offers an outstanding training and
orientation class on Saturday, September 7, for all newcomers. Not only are
you introduced to the procedures for operating a safe race, but you will see
all the aspects of a race weekend including each corner on the track, scoring,
control, and starting procedures. Contact Roger Bacon at training@marrc.org
for details.

If you want to learn to race, you can't get a better deal than with the MARRC
Roadracing School. Its not too late to sign up, and be trained for next
season! Contact our staff at raceschool@marrc.org for more information.

For more information, see the MARRC website at www.marrc.org. CCS's website is
